Customer service: We keep our customers informed and knowledgeable about each phase of their remodeling project, communicating in a timely and concise manner. We work to address any concerns or needs as they arise. We want to help you, our customer, have the best experience possible with your remodeling or new construction project. Remodeling: We strive to provide our customers with high quality remodeling work, coordinating the total project with like-minded subcontractors, and working toward timely progress on each project. Service and repair work: Because we are primarily remodeling contractors with a frequently congested work schedule, Bea Day Plumbers is generally unable to deal with plumbing emergencies. We are happy to help with standard (non-emergency) service and repair, but forewarn customers regarding the wait-time for service.
Helping to make a place for women in the trades: As a woman-owned and -operated firm, Bea Day Plumbers wants to help more women enter the trades. We support this vision by sharing information and experience, and by hiring qualified female subcontractors when available. Bea Day Plumbers was also a mentor in the University of Iowa Pre-vocational Training Program for Women during the 1990s. Salvage: We believe in helping make the old become new again whenever possible, both to conserve money and resources, and to help provide historical accuracy in remodels for homeowners who wish to preserve the details of an older home. Because much of our work is remodeling (which necessitates tearing out the old to make way for the new), we attempt to salvage whenever possible.
Since we are unable to store many fixtures on site, we pass along items to the Iowa City Salvage Barn when feasible. It is generally open to the public two Saturdays per month (check their website for specific information). About Us
